Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Dental Clinic offers a private patient dental screening by dental students. During this visit, a brief examination will be made to evaluate the patient, including a panoramic x-ray. If the patient's needs are either too complex or extensive to be treated in the student clinic, then the patient may be offered a referral for treatment in the NSU Dental Post Graduate Clinic or Faculty Practice. If accepted in the student clinic, the patient's next 1-2 appointments are spent evaluating particular needs and writing a treatment plan which includes the estimated cost of treatment. There is a $25 fee for this process. The overall treatment cost is generally considerably less than what is charged at a normal dental office.
