• Basic dental care is provided by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Howard University
fourth-year dental students under the supervision of volunteer local dentists
• Basic dental care includes restoration (fillings), extractions, x-rays, and examination
• Dental hygiene services are provided by provided by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) dental
hygiene students under the supervision of volunteer local dentists
Currently they have an extensive waiting list for other dental services including root canals and crowns. These services are provided only when specific grant funding is available, typically once per year.
Does not provide sedation (local anesthesia only), complex root canals, gum disease treatment, bridges, dentures or braces.

You are most likely eligible if you:
• Are over age 18
• Have household income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
• Do not have medical or dental insurance
• Are currently living in Virginia
